It was almost the sixth moon, he was on the fifth moon, and the anxiety was killing him! Heronkit yawned, now older than he was before, though he only still knew so little about the world that was out there. Icestar, Moondust, Ivystripe, and Sorrelkit were all that he actually knew. Well, he did sort of have a brief idea of playing now, and that Moondust wanted to be his mentor.
What bothered him now was leaving the nursery all to Sorrelkit. She would be all alone now, like how he was before meeting her. Would she be okay here? What if she was going to be the last kit in the nursery for a while?
He sighed, padding out of his half of the nursery, back to the den entrance, waiting for something to happen. This weather was really bugging him, and he did not like that one bit.
What was there to do today?

The white and brown tabby shekit lay in the sun gazing up at the sky In her thoughts. She noticed Haronkit looking slightly down and wondered what was up with him. She gave a faint smile. They didn't know each other all too well but in all honesty she wanted to get to know him more. After all they where the only two kits in the entire clan it only seemed fitting.
She shook her head to herself, no. From how the tom kit had treated her when they first met. Friendship was practically impossible between them. She didn't understand him at all and his rude cold behavior towards her. Frowning the kit turned away with a sigh. Sooner or later he will leave the nursery and become an apprentice leaving her alone.
What was she going to do with that?

The spotted the she-kit outdoors, doing whatever she was doing. He snorted, wondering what she was up to. The world was big outside, and he was too intimidated to even leave the safety of he nursery! 'Just go out and talk to her.' The tom-kit tried fighting the voices in his head, but was defeated.
He moped outside, stunned by the bright sunlight. Well, that was a big difference compared to the darkness of the nursery. His eyes had a bit of a struggle readjusting to the brightness of everything - it was like if everything was more clear outdoors, and that was what made him more nervous.
"Uhhh, hi Sorrelkit." Heronkit tried to give a smile, but instead frowned larger. How was he going to survive here if he could not even make one friend around here?
"How are you today?" That was a start, was it not?

Her head snapped over to look at him I. Surprise. She hadn't heard him come up, too busy with her thoughts "oh uh hi Heronkit." She gave a faint smile. "I'm fine...as fine as can be on a day like this." She looked at the sky. Her blue eyes half closed. "Uh, what are you up to?" She asked not looking at him

As awkward as it was talking to Soreelkit, it was well, comforting in a disgusting sort of way. He snorted, but nodded, taking in what she ha to say. Why wasn't she looking at him though? He was looking at her after all.
"Oh, I'm uhh, just looking for -" he was cut off by the appearance of Icestar. Thank goodness he wouldn't have to explain himself to the kit.
"Sure, I guess." The tail of his flopped around, and then he looked back to Sorrelkit, wondering what she would say.

She turned surprised at Icestar's sudden Appearence. "Wow you really have odd timing don't you?" She commented looking at the leader. "But uh no thank you you and Heronkit go on and play." She turned away and rested her head on her paws looking the other way

He watched the two, not blinking. Woah, a miniature clan fight. In front of him. Now he was awake.

She shook his head frantically. "Oh no no no no! I'm sorry I didn't mean to make it sound rude or if your not welcome I was just stating a fact that's all. You seem to pop out of the blue at random times." She gave a small apologetic smile. "I'm just not feeling up to playing either if you don't mind. I've had a long day." She murmured and glanced at Heronkit before looking away.
