Briarlight bustled through the camp entrance, desperate for the clear, fresh air. She could already feel a distant breeze, and Briarlight parted her jaws to drink in the soothing scent of the forest. The blind medicine cat emerged onto a fold of land that had one to to scrubby oak trees, and a way-overgrown shrub. Briarlight knew thease things were here, knowing she had special scences. The shecat continued on her herb hunt, stopping a little ways off to gather some juniper berries. Briarlight snagged a large piece of bark, rested the bark on the ground, and set th berries on top. The medicine cat continued, pondering over if another cat would join her. If so, she wondered who.

The white tom padded out of camp for his patrol. Since the gathering Snowclan seemed quite hostile and he was worried despite snowclan's warning to stay out of their territory if Snowclan dared to go into theirs instead as well. So he padded out of camp and headed on his usual route. Pausing when he scented Briarlight. Their new need cat.
He padded towards her. "Greetings Briarlight. Gathering herbs I see." He smiled slightly.

A vaguely familliar scent wreathed around her, and the medicine cat stopped dead. A voice rang in her ears, and Briarlight stiffened. She had just pinpointed some marigold. "Well, hello, Phantomshadow." Briarlight meowed in her gentle voice. "I am collecting herbs. Would you like to help, or are you busy?" Briarlight questioned, sencing other presences. Her fur caught on the light breeze and the blind shecat just stood, relishing the cool breeze. Not too hot, and not too cold. Then, on th beautiful breeze, came the strong scent of burdock root. As she waited for a response, Briarlight trotted over to the marigold. She may be blind, but had special scences.

Briarlight plucked the herbs from the dusty soil as she waited for an answer. When he offered to help, Briarlight was glad he had. "Thank you, Phantomshadow." She meowed in her gentle voice. As she began lightly trotting away, Briarlight scented a small bit of cobweb. Briarlight made her way towards it, but stopped and thought she should ask th tom if he knew how to collect and apply it. "Why don't you get it?" The light-colored shecat asked.

Briarlight was impressed at how he handled the delicate product. "Nice. You know, you would make a good med cat." Briarlight teased.

He chuckled. "I know how to handle things but I don't think I could become a med cat. I prefer helpin in other ways." He smiled slightly

Briarlight smirked slightly, and slipped away into the forest. A leaf fell above her head, landing on it. Briarlight sneezed, shaking her head to clear the leaf scents.

Briarlight, with her Seneca cleared, answered back. "No, nothing I can't handle." The shecat walked up to the white tom, reaching to grab the stick. Wind whisked past her, ruffling her fur. She didn't care. "I'm also going down to the creek to gather water mint and dock. You can come. After I collect the herbs, in going to just lay in the sunshine." Briarlight meowed calmly. The tingling scent of rain florished by on the wind, but it was far enough away not to worry about. As Briarlight made her way to the creek, she stopped to look back and see if Phantomshadow was following.

Alright." He agreed once the stick was out of his mouth and shook himself before silently following behind her. Every now and then looking around and testing the air for any disturbances.

Briarlight scenced him begin to follow. The shecat made her way to the flowing creek. A few fox leinths away came the smooth flowing of the creek. The scent of rain was stronger now, but still far. "Storms coming." She commented, pinpointing dock. "There's the dock." Briarlight meowed, padding up to the stems. The blind medicine cat plucked the stems out.

He hummed in agreement and gazed at the sky worriedly. "Briarlight how much more herbs do you need to be well stocked? I don't wish to be out here longer then nessicary." He commented

I just need watermint." Briarlight meowed, scencing him looking up at the sky. "No need to be worried." She added, finnially coming across watermint. She plucked up the stems and sighed. "What is it like to see?" Briarlight questioned, staring blankly at the marsh. "I can somewhat see, but not like you. I feel vibrations and I can feel where others on on the earth. Even in trees. When I sence, it gives me an image in my mind, like I can see." She explained. Briarlight was quite proud of herself.

That's impressive." He chuckled. Then thought about the question. "Well. It's a nice thing." He grinned. "I really don't know how to describe any of it." He murmured frowning thoughtfully.

Briarlight nodded slightly, then straightened up. "Shall we head back?" She meowed, her pelt twitching as a drop of rain dropped through her thick fur to skin. She shivered, and began treccing back to camp. She stopped beside him, thinking it would be warmer to walk side-by-side. The rain started to fall more heavily, but not yet a downpour. Briarlight cringed at the rain. It messed up her scences so she was practicly helpless with locating items. The rain patterned on the earth, jarring her scences and brain.

He hummed in agreement and padded by her towards came. Letting his pelt brush against hers encouragingly and guiding her when needed. "We are almost there." He commented quietly as he pinned her ears back in irritation of the rain.

Briarlight was thankful for his presence, and him guiding her. "Your a good friend." She meowed, being dragged under the weight of long, drenched fur. She also pinned her ears back, for rain had been seeping into her ears. Lightning flashed in the sky above the two, and Briarlight scenced it. She shrank back, feeling its power. It struck the earth far away, but vibrated her. Briarlight felt as if she'd been struck.

Briarlight took a deep breath and stood again, making her way to the camp. Her fur was drenched by the time she reached it. "Thanks, Phantomshadow." She meowed. Briarlight had been touched by his kindness.

Briarlight was thoughtful for a moment, but shook her head. "No, not that I know of. Plus, you should get your pelt cleaned." She meowed, refuring to his drenched coat.

Yes, yes. Okay." Briarlight meowed, retreating to her den and hoping he did the same. Rain wasn't going to help him.
