Twilightstar nodded and started padding forward again, smelling the border she halted,
"Okay, this is the Snowclan border, take a good smell- you'll need to be able to recognise all the clans scents before you become a warrior" She meowed, they'd head back to Twilightclan territory along the Twilightclan border with loner territory.

Twilightstar frowned- didn't her apprentice know of Snowclans want for more territory already? Did Goldenpaw not know of the recent battle between Twilightclan and Snowclan?
"Goldenpaw, are you aware of the recent battle between Twilightclan and Snowclan?" She meowed firmly.

Goldenpaw shook her head. She felt as if she would get kicked out of the clan if she didn't get kicked out of the clan if she didn't know. "No, Twilightstar." she muttered. |

Twilightstars eyes widened at her apprentices reply,
"Snowclan had been moving their border forward into both Warriorclans and Twilightclans territory, the late Cougarstar the previous leader of warriorclan and I joined together to fight Snowclan for our territory back, we won but many of our clan mates were injured, the Snowclan deputy, Moondust was also regretfully killed in the battle. Snowclan moves their border frequently if they can get away with it, our warriors need to be able to scent whether the border has been moved or not- thats why I got you to scent it more the the Sunclan border" She emowed firmly.

Twilightstar smiled- she'd forgotten her apprentice had never been outside camp before,
"Loners are cats who choose not to live in a clan, many of them weren't born in a clan they live by themselves or with their mates and kits, we made a border for them so that they know where clans hunt, they are allowed to cross the border but the border is helpful for us since it tends to prevent most loners from hunting in clan territory and therefore we have more prey, we'll just go and check the scent marks are still fresh on our way back if thats okay?" She meowed gently.
(Sorry for late reply, have been on school camp on island in middle of my city wellingtons harbour with no technology)

(Yeah I usually agree but this camp was worse! - No meat + No Packaged foods + Make your own meals every day + Helping Department of conservation with their dirty work like cleaning out sheep poo from concrete + No Technology + Low amounts of sleep due to night walks = NO FUN AT ALL = NO LIFE = Sucky school camp!)
"Just snif the scent marks and if there is a spot where there is no scent mark mark it by rubbing your cheek against it and scrathing the ground with your front paws, the boys in our clan also pee on the grass in a special way but your a girl like me so don't worry about that" Twilightstar meowed encouaragingly as they approached the loner border...

Seeing the camp ahead of them Twilightstar sped up to a trot, slowing to slip through the entrance she halted,
"You are free to go now Goldenpaw, I hope you have learnt a lot" She meowed.
