Goldenkit yawned. Her head flopped from side to side, bored out of her mind, the kit scrambled out of the mossy bed and kicked up some moss. It went everywhere. "The queens are going to kill me for that!" squeaked Goldenkit as she ran outside and poked her head in to see the reaction of the queens. |

Fallenpaw was wandering around camp, purpley-blue optics half closed. Stopping outside of the Nursery, she decided to clean up their nests. Bouncing back to the Medicine Cat den, she picked up some fresh moss and went back to the Nursery. "Hello?" she called into it. |

(Phoenix?) Goldenkit looked at the cat standing across from her at the entrance. "Hullo," she mewed. Looking at the moss, she felt mouse-brained, but relived "Uhh.. Yes, the beds need cleaning.." she quickly meowed and rushed back inside. |

Fallenpaw glanced down at the kit and a purr rose in her throat. "Hi. Are you the only kit here? What's your name? I'm Fallenpaw, the Medicine Cat apprentice." Smiling, she entered the Nursery. |

Medicine cat apprentice!Goldenkit's tongue felt like a useless slug in her mouth. She tried to speak, but her tongue was as useless as a cat with no legs. "I-It must be a gwate ho-" The kit gulped and started again. "It must be a great honor to be apprenticed to a cat with such knowledge! My name's Goldenkit." she mewed. |

Fallenpaw smiled at Goldenkit. "It is. It's a pleasure to meet you, Goldenkit." she said quietly, then began to replace the moss. |

Fallenpaw nodded, and began to fix the bedding. She tore away the old moss, put it in a neat pile near the entrance, and replaced it with clean moss. |

"Ok, you wait here!" Fallenpaw mewed, before exiting the den. She returned with a juicy-looking mouse. Dropping it at Goldenkit's feet, she grinned. "Here you go." |

"Oh, no, I'll be fine." Fallenpaw mewed through clenched teeth, as memories came flooding back.
First it was her mother... Jadestream, killed by the river. Then her father... Lionbite, killed by dogs. Then Blackkit, Viperkit and Vinekit... all squashed underneath the Twoleg's monster. And finally, her best friend, Lilackit, chasing a butterfly over the gorge.
Fallenpaw's beautiful silver pelt twitched as she remembered. |

The white Tom made his way from a border patrol and yawned. He was tired and had alot on his mind lately. He was going to head to the warriors den to try and get some rest but his ears caught the sound of some excited chatter in the nursery. Interest piqued the deputy padded towards the den. He could make out his sisters scent and another cat. A new kit he hasn't yet met?
Slinking inside he settled himself down beside Fallenpaw and licked her ear in brotherly affection. "Hi." He smiled slightly. "I've been meaning to ask you how the others were after the...." He glanced at the playing kit. "Battle." He spoke in a lower voice.
His green eyes slowly drifted to the kit, still listening for Fallenpaw's response as he watched the small kit.

Fallenpaw blinked as Phantomshadow entered the Nursery. "Hello, Phantomshadow. I wasn't expecting you here." she mewed, forcing a smile. "The others? They're fine. They got a bit scratched, excluding Twilightstar, who almost lost one of her lives." Glancing back at Goldenkit, she purred and shook her head. "Goldenkit, meet Phantomshadow. My brother, deputy of TwilightClan." |

He tensed at hearing that of Twilightstar but he soon relaxed. Going a mental note to check up on the leader. "Good...." He turned to Goldenkit and gave a small smile and a nod. "I'm Phantomshadow." He replied. "Nice to meet you kid." He replied. "And I just came here to see what the commotion was about. We haven't had kits here in awhile. Not since Fallenpaw became apprentice." He commented

Fallenpaw shook her head, and gulped. "No, our mother, father and siblings are... dead. Jadestream was killed by the rushing river, Lionbite, by dogs, and Blackkit, Vinekit and Viperkit all were squashed by a Twoleg's car." she mewed solemnly, then pressed her head into the side of Phantomshadow's body. "I shouldn't have told her that, should I?" she whispered, shutting her eyes tightly. |

He smiled slightly. "Nice to meet you too little one. And just as Fallenpaw said...we are the last two of our family to have survived. So our family is t in the picture. But yes to your question...we are respected." He commented. He looked at his sister and smiled slightly. Hiding his pain easily enough. "It's ok...." He tried to comfort her

Goldenkit tilted her head out of sympathy. "I-I apologize for asking." she mumbled. She sat down and looked at the two cats. "Have you ever quarreled whether it's better to be a medicine cat or a warrior?" she blurted out, but slunk back, embarrassed for talking. |
